Both my son and I developed runny nose, soar throat and cough. I also have an ear infection and sinus inflammation. We went to the beach on 5/8/16. The water had a chemical/sunscreen flavor. We were swimming down at the end by the Port Allen runway. At one point I was wondering if the water was safe because there is a section that is a little more isolated/still and only gets more ocean water from the occasional bigger waves. The water in the area was murky and had occasional "dirty bubbles". We were both sick within 12 - 24 hours of returning from the beach. We did not go anywhere or do anything else after the beach that day.
