Headache and Nausea from Huntington Beach swim

Every time I go in the water at Huntington beach close to the pier I enter the water feeling great but once its been a few minutes I have a headache and feel nausea terribly, also I feel weak and just generally not well for the rest of the day, the last 2 times I have gone in June I had the same effect every time, even my daughter had the same symptoms. Not sure why but I'm beginning to think its the water since it only happens when we go in the water.
