Became ill with symptoms of e-coli after making sandcastles on the South Padre beach 2 weeks after Hurricane Harvey passed through Texas. The beach looked clean. Off-season so not many people around. After discussing everything we ate as a family and the only person who got sick was me, we had to rule out food poisoning. I was the only family member who churned up the sand. We researched on-line and all concluded it had to be beach sickness.
