Description

I am a resident here and swim at this beach about once a month. Yesterday I had burning in my eyes despite swimming w/ goggles. Swam almost an hour, and when I got out my eyes were swollen and I believe I have conjunctivitis. They are super red and the eyes produced the clear membranes in the corners and edges that hasn't subsided for 24 hrs. Slightly itchy, stuck together upon waking. There is also white or yellow pus like discharge. Waiting to see a doctor, the pharmacy said I should see a doctor and not use any over the counter meds. There was a supposed sewage spill over 1 week ago but this area is also know for high user volume and low circulation, and also nearby a polluted canal. No warning signs were posted.
