Our family is at the beach this week and we visited Stewart Beach last night for a couple hours. I only waded, and my 3 year old spent half the time looking for seashells--my husband and 5 year old were in the water the whole time. Today they are both sick; my 5 year old pooped her pooped her pants (diarrhea) twice today (she hasn't had a potty accident since we potty trained her at 2.5 years old) and she has complained of a stomach ache, and my husband said he feels the same and is having similar bathroom issues. My 3 year old had VERY slight symptoms and I initially thought no way could my husband and daughter be sick from the water because the 3 year old played too and she's mostly fine, but after coming here I'm thinking maybe she just barely swallowed any and my husband and daughter got a lot. I have had no symptoms.

Today we went to La Porte beach and were all in the water for 2+ hours, though we did constantly tell our girls to spit out any water that got in their mouths. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
